April Artist Date Invitations
Bloom where you are planted 🌸

Dear friend,
March felt like it came and went so quickly! One moment we were in that quiet in between and the next it had already passed without much notice.
April feels different… It feels like an exhale after a long stretch of holding your breath. After what has felt like endless snow, there is finally a shift. The light lingers a little longer, the air softens and you can feel that spring is starting to settle in.
There is something about this time of year that feels abundant in a really natural way. There is more light, more warmth and a return of life that feels both grounding and hopeful.
This month I keep coming back to the idea of blooming where you are planted. Not waiting for perfect conditions or trying to have everything figured out. Just allowing yourself to grow with what is here and trusting that it is enough.
I decided to make April’s Artist Dates feel a little more inward. My hope is that it inspires to to tend to your inner world just as much as your outer one. Noticing what is ready to grow, what is asking for your attention and who you are slowly becoming in this season.
There is no order here and no expectation to do it all. Choose what speaks to you. Come back to what feels good. Let this month unfold in a way that feels natural to you!
I hope you enjoy ❤️

April Artist Dates
If you feel called to create, to explore, or to step a little outside of yourself this month, here are some gentle invitations. Take what resonates, leave what doesn’t. These can be done alone or shared with a friend, whatever you please :)
1. Visit a Flower Market or Garden Centre
Spend time wandering through a flower market or garden centre and let yourself be drawn to the colours, textures, and scents that catch your attention. Choose a few stems and bring them home. Arrange them with care, sketch them, photograph them, or simply sit and enjoy their presence. Let this be about noticing beauty and allowing yourself to receive it fully.
2. Outdoor Café or Patio Date
Take a journal or sketchbook to a café with outdoor seating. Order a drink you love and settle into the spring energy around you. Write, sketch, or simply observe. Notice the light, the movement, and the rhythm of life returning after the quiet of winter.
3. Picnic for One or With a Friend
Pack a small picnic—a blanket, a drink, something sweet. Take it to a nearby park, your backyard, or even a sunny spot indoors. Let yourself slow down and enjoy the moment. You can read, journal, listen to music, or simply rest. Invite a friend if it feels good and make it a shared experience.
4. Create With Florals
Use flowers as inspiration in your creative practice. Paint them, press them, photograph them, or make a collage. Let their shapes, textures, and colours guide you. Focus on the process, the joy of play, and the whimsical beauty of imperfection.
5. Gentle Creative Gathering
Invite a friend over for an unstructured creative evening. No plan, no pressure. Just materials, conversation, and space to create. You might paint, collage, bake, or simply sit and talk. Let the experience unfold naturally.
Blooming does not happen all at once. It happens slowly, quietly, in ways we do not always notice right away.
This month is not about becoming someone entirely new. It is about becoming more of who you already are. Let yourself grow in your own way, in your own time, with what you already have around you.
You are allowed to bloom exactly where you are.
Until next month,
Patricia
P.S. I’d love to hear from you. Which of these Artist Dates are you most drawn to this month? Did one spark a new idea or a moment of joy?
